About Product
A Few Words On The Appellation
Appellation Village de la Côte de Beaune, at the foot of its high cliff, Saint-Romain is located in a high position. The vines are exposed south/south-east and north/north-east, between 280 metres and 400 metres.
100% Chardonnay
After being harvested by hand, the grapes are destalked and then pressed ready for vinification in new 500-litre oak barrels. The wines are then aged for 6 to 12 months in barrels that have seen two previous vintages.
Pale gold with green reflections, its colour reveals, on the nose, the whole range of lime trees, white flowers, with some mineral accents. It offers a good minerality in the mouth that time rounds off by revealing a good softness.
The minerality of this Saint-Romain makes it a friend of delicate fish but also of omelettes and poached eggs. Freshly picked or marinated vegetables are also very popular. Very good also on soft cheeses such as camembert, whose creamy texture will be well balanced by the slightly mineral acidity of this beautiful wine.
Serve at a temperature of 12° to 14°C. A great white wine for keeping.
