Detailed Description

Made with 80% rye and 20% malted barley, the New York Honey Whiskey is a local labor of love. The rye is made with raw whole New York grain from local farmers (the grains are aptly stored in holding tanks the farmers nicknamed Rye-ella and Malt-ilda) and is then infused with raw wildflower honey from hives located in the western Catskills Mountains. After distillation, the rye is aged in charred American oak casks, giving it a warm and bold aroma. The rye comes to the forefront of this whiskey, while the honey gives it a hint of sweetness. For fans of a more rye forward whiskey with a just the right hit of sweetness from the honey, the New York Honey Whiskey is the most buzzworthy choice for some seriously good, flavored whiskey.
