Bellaria Taurasi Reserva, 2008

Bellaria Taurasi Reserva, 2008 is an excellent expression of the Aglianico grape grown Campania's Taurasi DOCG.  Grown at an elevation of 600 meters it has all the advantages of the southern sunshine combined with cooler temperatures and large diurnal changes.  This makes for a powerful but balanced wine with dark fruit, herbal notes and a very long earthy finish.  One of Italy's great wines in a hard to find older vintage.
