Bodegas Barbadillo Reliquia Olorosso
The Bodegas Barbadillo Reliquia Olorosso is one of the oldest sherries on the market from the well-established Bodegas Barbadillo. Aged for around 150 years, this special edition Olorosso sherry is made from white Palomino grapes that give it a pleasant dryness with a profound nuttiness on the palate as well. A lovely sherry to pair with cheddar or gruyere cheese.

After the death of Don Antonio Barbadillo who passed away in 1921, he mentioned some wines “del abuelo” or of my grandfather. This is in reference to Benigno Barbadillo Hortigüela, who founded the company in 1821. These sherries are part of this story and the legacy of Benigno and his family live on in its sixth generation today.
Bottled specially for Skurnik New York, this Jerez-Xeres sherry is a relic due to its generations of ageing in Barbadillo's centenary cellars. Passed from grandfather to grandson, this is a highly limited-edition sherry that stands the test of time. Only 80 bottles have been made, and this particular batch's label has handwritten calligraphy by the renowned Spanish artist Goyo Valmorisco used specifically for this bottle release. This sherry has a nutty character with a dry palate.
