Baron De Brane Margaux, 2012

Baron De Brane Margaux, 2012, is the second label of Chateau Brane-Cantenac, one of the most prestigious chateaus in Margaux.  2012 was a very good year and this wine shows just how good a properly aged Margaux can be.  The nose is of violets with suggestions of rose petals and blackberry.  These come through on the palate accompanied by layers of cassis, tabaco, cedar that grow and evolve in the glass.  An elegant wine it has well integrated tannins and just the right amount of acidity.
